Supports larger radial loads than an equal-sized deep groove ball bearing with a high maximum RPM limit. Cylindrical bearings do not support axial loads but significantly increase L10 life for the same radial load compared to a deep groove bearing. A secondary bearing on the shaft must be used to accept axial force, or the axial forces must be balanced to prevent movement at the cylindrical bearing.
