Description
Supports greater radial loads than an equal-sized caged cylindrical bearing with more tolerance to heat and thermal cycling. RPM limits are reduced compared to caged roller bearings. Cylindrical bearings do not support axial loads but significantly increase L10 life for the same radial load compared to a deep groove bearing. A secondary bearing on the shaft must be used to accept axial force, or the axial forces must be balanced to prevent movement at the cylindrical bearing.
