High Temperature, Setscrew Locking, Ball Bearing Insert
Description
500°F intermittent service
400°F continuous service
52100 alloy heat stabilized steel
C4 internal clearance
Silicone seals & 302 shields
Wide inner race
Set screw shaft lock
Steel Cage
Can be greased/PM'd
HTB 550 grease
Uses two set screws on the bearing inner race that are tightened to grip the shaft to achieve a secure hold and Installs into standard duty housings. KX series ball bearings are designed to significantly outlast all other equivalently sized ball bearings in high-temperature service above 180°F up to their rated temperature. This is achieved with superior metallurgy, elastomers and lubrication selected explicitly for service in the specified temperature range. They are factory lubricated with our HTB550 PFPE base oil, NLGI No. 2, PTFE thickened grease, and can be fully PM'd.

Uses two set screws on the bearing inner race that are tightened to grip the shaft to achieve a secure hold and installs into a standard duty housings. Zirconia offers high strength, wear resistance, and flexibility. It has a superior surface hardness, the highest level of impact toughness for a bearing grade ceramic, corrosion resistance, elastic modulus and thermal expansion similar to bearing steel, and good high-temperature performance. It has low thermal conductivity, is electrically non-conductive and non-magnetizing, making it a suitable material to replace metals in many applications where isolation is essential. One notable weakness is high-temperature steam will degrade Zirconia.
Uses two set screws on the bearing inner race that are tightened to grip the shaft to achieve a secure hold and installs into a standard duty housings. Silicon Nitride has a good combination of mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties. It is extremely hard and has exceptional thermal shock, impact resistance, and high-temperature capabilities, with high creep, oxidation, and wear resistance but is exceptionally light in weight. Its low thermal and electrical conductivity is especially useful in applications where corrosion, electric or magnetic fields prohibit the use of metals. It is an excellent choice when high-temperature and high-load abilities are needed. However, it has a very low rate of thermal expansion that must be accommodated to prevent excessive tensile stress on the inner race.
